If a parental complaint escalates into a situation that genuinely threatens your well-being, please do not try to handle it alone. Your safety comes first. Step back from the situation, and reach out to trusted colleagues, the KTU LGBTQ+ Committee(Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union), or other relevant support channels.

Creating safe and inclusive schools should not depend on individual teachers’ courage alone. Until the system does its part, this resource is meant to offer modest support for teachers who may feel uncertain or alone in difficult conversations with families. I hope it can help teachers prepare their language, clarify their purpose, and respond with a little more confidence.
